Ellie 9 months - the Busy Baby!

And then it happens.

All in the same couple of weeks, your baby starts to crawl, get teeth, learn to whine, and learn to: crawl to your feet + crawl up your legs + stand up on your feet + put her hands up and hold onto your legs + whine for you so you pick her up.

We still have a pretty easy and happy kid... but things have become a bit busier here in the Cavanaugh household.  When the crawling started at 8.5 months, it was these big exagerrated movements - like swimming freestyle on the ground... but a week later, she had it down and now is so "Schnell!" according to our landlords.  She has also started nodding her head "yes", pretty much whenever she feels like being affirmative.  This mainly applies when Ellie is eating or reading stories. :)

This is her look while saying "dadadadada".

She also, and this was a huge shocker, waved and said "bye bye" the other day.  A family came over to buy some of our 220 appliances, and as they were leaving, Ellie just whipped out with this while I was holding her.  I said, "did she really just say that?" and the other mom agreed - we had definite "bye bye" action.  Ha!  It has not yet been repeated though.

She continues to have crazy hair, say mumumum and dadada and try to get Lola's attention by squealing.  She's now eating chicken, salmon, and pretty much anything we put in front of her. Lola is less thrilled by all this movement but very pleased to see Ellie eating meat and sharing with her.   Within a week of turning 9 months, we finally saw that little white bottom right tooth creeping out and hopefully explaining some of her recent newfound fussiness.  And then within a few days of that, the bottom left tooth emerged.  So we are on our way to seeing more pearly whites!

Can't see them yet but teeth are there!
Getting to be such a big girl!
