In July, Colin and I decided to do a last minute whirlwind trip to London for a date night... We know that kind of spontaneity is not always going to be possible after the arrival of Baby Cav, so we decided to take advantage of our light packing while we can!
We had a great couple of days that mainly involved getting delicious food, enjoying the city, and seeing Wicked.
One of our first stops was Borough Market ... a fave of ours from last time we visited London. Baklava, chorizo sandwiches, flavored fudges, thanksgiving sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches... we spent a great deal of time picking our food and enjoying it. This is a good activity for a pregnant lady!
Then we wandered the city and had a wonderful date night - seeing Wicked, getting delicious Indian food and walking the Thames on the way back to our hotel. With only a day and a half, we didn't bother being too touristy, but we did make it to the Churchill War Rooms the next day since we weren't able to do that last time. I always find London invigorating after being in quiet Heinsberg, and it was awesome to see the city in the wake of the Diamond Jubilee and preparing for the 2012 Olympics.
